Daniel speak for mud puddle, helicopter, and beetle/bug cars.
Saturday morning, the boys had soccer practice. I didn’t go…too tired. Daniel didn’t go either—he and three other boys from Troop 21 were going to the fairgrounds to be the color guard for a car show. Later he came home, all sweaty and full of stories about neat, old cars he had seen. My Grandparents arrived in the afternoon. They’ve been renovating ‘Harvest View Manor’ (shmancy for the PA Parsonage) so we’ve been able to see them a lot more lately. We read a bunch of back issues of Boy’s Life—who knows why I read it—it’s a boy magazine—why? But it’s interesting, so why not? Here’s something from the joke section
Two antennae met on a roof, fell in love and got married. Their wedding ceremony wasn’t fancy. The reception however, was excellent.
Enyway, so that night, we went over to the Union cemetery at Marye’s Heights to see the luminary the scouts had set up—at least a thousand white paper bags with little tea candles in them. It was so cool, all the little lights by all the graves, kind of spooky too...One of them I saw had burned a little hole in the side of a bag, but it had been put out. Then we went home. I woke up this morning, thougt my clock said 1:00, and was like, wow, I did NOT stay up that late! Did I? But then I saw it was really 7:00. And today my grandparents left, then we went to this Concert/Drama/Memorial Day thing, and I got sunBURNT, so…um…well…
bye?
