"Life is the art of drawing without an eraser."
Read a sign as mom and I drove to pick up the boys from cub-scout day camp. I thought about that one for a few moments. It seemed logical enough. Sometimes, mistakes are made in life that cannot be changed or modified. But it didn't sound quite right. A few minutes later, I told mom my puzzling question. We pondered it for a while, then came up with a new phrase.
"Life is the art of letting Jesus guide your hand while you draw."
This seemed to ring true. It made sense, too. If we pull our hands away from His, we could make a mistake that will only disappear if we put our hands back into his, and let His eraser wipe it away. Just a thought.
On to a more lighthearted topic. I saw another sign today. It simply read "FOR RENT" and was firmly planted...in the middle of a median. We had a good laugh. Ah, the government had finally decided to sell their weedy old median.
