A month?!?

tsk tsk tsk.

Soon after my last post, I finished my skirt (pic will be in next post)

Then it was Caleb's birthday, and he was elated when we had a Star Wars party for him.

He liked his cake.

A few days after the beginning of December, we had our first snowfall. It was only about two or three inches, but to hear the radio people talk, you would have thought that we were about to be snowed in for a year!

And soon we will be going to our grandparents house for Christmas. The ten hour drive is always a bit daunting, but we will bring lots of books-on-tape, a wonderful thing for long rides in the car.

Hopefully I will be posting again before I leave, otherwise it may be a while before you hear from me again.

So, here I am...sitting alone in the kitchen, eating cold garlic bread and sipping sour orange juice(not the greatest of combinations) and typing up a mini tornado.
Mom and dad left earlier today for a quick weekend vacation, leaving us here with our grandparents, who arrived a while after they had left. I started things out by deciding to bake cookies, but I wanted to keep an eye on the boys, so I set up the computer in the kitchen, and let the boys watch Star Wars, which they adore. Things went well, but imagine this picture...
...a girl baking a double batch of chocolate chip cookies stands by the counter, stirring . Three boys crowd around a corner, staring at a flashing computer screen, the kitchen being filled with blaster shots, the oven timer buzzing maniacly, the smell of cookies filling the air, the sound of whispering among the boys about the story line, and the quiet giggling as a funny scene appears...it was only slightly bizarre, but rather fun.
Then (after dinner) I played Yahtzee with grandma and Daniel, I had fun trying to remember how to play while practically falling asleep, [so why am I still up?] Jason F. was quoted ("YAHTZEE!"), then I got a call from carabelle, and inevitably wetalked forEVER... so i am really sleepy, but hey---it was worth it
